Let the sunshine in...oh let the sunshine in!...the s-u-n-s-h-i-n-e in!

Hello,
Wow it is a beautiful day here in Tokyo.
Jenna returned from Kyoto last night. She was a little sick but I went to work on operation make Jenna better and she is feeling great today.
Last night we had a Mexican feast. I bought stuff for fajitas at one of the international food stores and we ate until we couldn't move. Luckily moving wasn't really necessary as we were eating on the sofa and watching Scrubs (which is one of the best tv shows ever!). Mhairi and I have been talking about doing a fajita night for a long long time and since our time together is so limited at the moment we filling got our act together. mmmmmm soo good....
I am off to Odaiba today. Jenna will meet me on the island for lunch. ahh lunch on the beach. We will most likely head out to Shibuya this evening to give Jenna that opportunity to check out an all asian club....to go where no gaijin has gone before!!!! hahaha (FYI I know I am a total geek, no one needs to tell me.)

To infinity and beyond!

May the force be with you.

Over and out.

-Linden :)

Bye Bye Benji

Well I have some sad news....
My dear beloved Benji was taken by the police yesterday.
I never got to take a picture of him.
Now he is in a bike lot somewhere in Tokyo.
I had parked him illegally, as I and about 400 other bikers do every day.
I was not lucky this time.

Benji you were a good bike, I will miss you.

Ideas for Garden

There was a bit of a gardening festival thing happening in Yokohama when we went on Sunday.
Mom and Auntie Nancy, I thought of you two right away when I saw these gardens. I think the fan one would be relatively easy to recreate.
They were all very nice and represented different scenes, these are just a few.
FYI, I do realize how ridiculous it is for someone like myself who refuses to garden to give out ideas for gardens... but that changes nothing, the ideas remain.

Theo's Birthday

This morning I called my dear darling Theo.
Theo is 7 today!
They were eating dinner and I caught them just before cake.
Theo opened her present while I was on the phone and she was so grateful...so grown up. She now has a set of three Japanese woodblock prints that tell a story, well many stories, and she gets to be the author of them all.
Piper was very excited to get on the phone and tell me all about the picture of the Japanese princesses that Theo got from Japan....TOO CUTE!

I am missing so much.
My heart aches.
Soon, I tell myself. I will see them soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THEO!!!

Yokohama on Sunday

wheel in the world (So Yokohama on Sunday with Mhairi and Jenna. Yokohama is the home of what WAS the world's largest Ferris wheel, but as my student Charlie tells me, it no longer holds that distinction as China's Ferris wheel in Shanghai owns that title. So Jenna and I rode the second largest Ferris in the world as Mhairi had already had the terrifying experience as was not interested in reliving the experience). It was a little scary...and yes that is my hand grabbing Jenna's leg. Just to point out... the floor of the pod thing was just more comfortable and it was crazy windy. We three had a great time. After the rides and a delicious Italian lunch, we walked to China town. Somehow Mhairi has gotten herself out of all the pictures....I promise she came and had fun! Jenna is off in KoyaSan today and then to Kyoto tomorrow, she wont be back to Tokyo until Thursday. I miss her already but it is good to have some time just with Mhairi as she leaves Japan in a week and I will miss her terribly. I don't even want to think about it.

Friday and Saturday Nights

Out for dinner with Mhairi (who's picture had to be removed under in order to spare my life) and Jenna at Tokyo Apartment Cafe. Then getting ready for a night out dancing.

Picnic in Shinjuku Gardens

A beautiful lunch of Udon in Shinjuku Gardens. The wind was high sending what was left of the Cherry Blossoms flying through the air. Have you ever had a petal fight?... I HAVE! It was so cool, and no one suspects a ball of blossoms will becoming for their face. haha.... it was a fabulous day.

Linden and Jenna pics Part 1

So this first picture that Jenna took of us pretty much summarizes her time here with me! Enjoy!!!
